The Eastern Naval Command organized a water sport competition for the students and teachers of Tissa Vidyalaya in the Naval Dockyard, Trincomalee. The event was held in the Pepper Pot Jetty, inner harbour area Trincomalee on 05th April 2021. The tournament was organized by the 4th Fast Attack Flotilla with Seamanship School of Naval & Maritime Academy under the guidance of the Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral YN Jayarathna. The prime motive of this competition was to develop the skills of the future generation in water sports and enticing them to engage in this exciting sport discipline in the future.

The Sri Lanka Navy women's cricket team on 02^nd April 2021 won the Inter Club Division I Women's One Day Cricket Championship organized by the Sri Lanka Cricket. The final was played at the Navy Cricket Ground in Welisara where the Navy managed to defeat Army ‘A’ women’s team by two wickets.

Exhibiting sterling performances in tennis at the 11^th Defence Services Games held in 2021, Sri Lanka Navy finished the tournament on a winning note clinching the tennis championship. On conclusion of the tournament the prize awarding ceremony was held at the Sri Lanka Army Tennis Court, Narahenpita, under the patronage of Commander of the Navy and President Navy Sports Board, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne on 20^th March 2021.

The much-anticipated Navy Colours Night – 2021, organized by Sri Lanka Navy Sports Board, eventuated with great pomp and circumstance at the Eagles' Lakeside, Attidiya this evening (09^th March 2021). The colourful event was graced by Commander of the Navy and President Navy Sports Board, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, as the Chief Guest.

The Bart’s Bash Sailing Regatta – 2020 organized by the Ceylon Motor Yacht Club was held at the Bolgoda Lake on 13^th September 2020. The Sri Lanka Navy Sailing Pool being a key contestant in the event secured a number of titles bringing much credit to the Navy.

The new Volleyball court constructed at SLNS Thammanna in the North Central Naval Command was declared open by Commander North Central Naval Area on a colourful note on 08^th August 2020.

The first day of the Admiral Clancy Fernando Memorial Navy Cup Sailing Regatta – 2020 organized by Sri Lanka Navy in assistance with the Yachting Association of Sri Lanka came to a successful end on the waterfront of Galle Face Green today (29^th February 2020).

The Navy Sports Club sailed to victory, defeating the Air Force Sports Club 24 points to 21 in a Dialog Rugby League encounter worked off at the Air Force rugby ground in Rathmalana on 28^th February 2020.

A friendly Basketball match was played between the crews of the two Philippine Naval ships “Ramon Alcaraz” and “Davao Delsur” which are on three day official visit in Sri Lanka and the naval personnel of the SL Navy, on 27^th January 2020.
