Sri Lanka Navy claims glory in 3rd National Handball Championship
The Sri Lanka Navy handball team emerged as champions of the 3rd National Handball Championship, showcasing exceptional skill and teamwork to secure the title. The tournament was held from 03 to 06 Apr 25 at the Army Cantonment in Panagoda.
The tournament, featuring 07 competitive teams, showcased high-intensity matches and exceptional sportsmanship. The Navy’s journey to the finals included a decisive win over the Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) in the semifinals. After a thrilling final with the Army, the Navy maintained their composure to claim the title with a seven-point margin (41-34).
The tournament showcased several standout performances from the following players of the Sri Lanka Navy, who received awards and certificates for their achievements.
