Navy becomes runner up in men’s tug of war at 13th Defence Services Games

The Navy men’s team became the runner up in tug of war at the 13th Defence Services Games. The tug of war tournament was held at the sports ground of SLNS Pandukabhaya on 27th September 2024.

Three men’s and three women’s teams from the tri forces competed in the tug-of-war tournament. The Navy and Army men's teams advanced to the finals, where the Navy secured the runner-up position after a close contest.

The Commander North Central Naval Command, Rear Admiral Jagath Kumara, Air Vice Marshal KC Geethapriya, Brigadier LJMCP Jayasundara as well as officers and other ranks from the tri-services were present on this occasion to witness the finals.
