Navy ruggerites shine in Air Force Commander’s Cup Rugby Tournament – 2024

The Sri Lanka Navy men’s and women’s rugby teams delivered stellar performances in the Air Force Commander’s Cup Rugby Tournament, held at the Race Course Ground, Colombo, on the 16th and 18th August 2024.

The Navy Women’s team emerged victorious in the Women’s Cup Final, clinching the championship title with a decisive 15-00 win against the Sri Lanka Air Force team.

Meanwhile, in the Men’s Bowl Finals, the Navy B team faced off against the Police B team. The match ended in a hard-fought 12-12 draw, but the Navy B team was narrowly edged out in the conversion, making them the runner-up.

The Chairman of Navy Rugby Pool, Commodore Sanath Pitigala and a group of officers were present on this occasion.
