Inter Command Musketry Championship 2024 concludes in North Central Naval Command

The Inter Command Musketry Championship 2024 was held at the firing range of SLNS Shiksha from 15th to 17th May 2024. At the invitation of Chairman Sri Lanka Navy Musketry, Commodore Nishan Ranaweera the final day of the competition was graced by Commander North Central Naval Area Rear Admiral Damian Fernando, as the Chief Guest.

The Inter Command Musketry Championship saw about 160 musketeers across from naval Commands competing for coveted titles. The championship title in men’s Riffle and Pistol was won by the Eastern Naval Command. Its runner up slot was secured by the Training Command. Meanwhile, Chief Petty Officer HRPJS Rathnayake from the Eastern Naval Command clinched best shooter title in Overall Riffle and Pistol category.

The North Central Naval Command clinched Women’s Riffle and Pistol championship. Its runner up slot was won by the Southern Naval Command. Moreover, Sub Lieutenant WRV Pragnarathna from the Southern Naval Command won Overall Riffle and Pistol championship in the women’s category.
