Navy golfer Chalitha Pushpika wins J.R. Jayewardene Trophy in 63rd National Amateur Golf Championship, Pakistan

Representing Sri Lanka in the 63rd National Amateur Golf Championship in Pakistan, the Navy golfer Ordinary Seaman Chalitha Pushpika and Uchitha Ranasinghe from the Royal Colombo Golf Club teamed up to win the J.R. Jayewardene Trophy. The 63rd National Amateur Golf Championship was held at the Margalla Greens Golf Club in Islamabad, Pakistan from 18th to 21st April 2024.

In this team event both Chalitha Pushpika and Uchitha Ranasinghe scored a joint gross of 148 to win the J.R. Jayewardene Trophy.

Moreover, Ordinary Seaman Chalitha Pushpika scored a gross of 289 in the individual event and won the second runner-up title in the 63rd National Amateur Golf Championship.
