Inter Command Handball Tournament – 2024 concludes

The Inter Command Handball Tournament was held from 03rd to 06th April 2024 at the sports ground of SLNS Pandukabhaya. In an exciting showcase of talent and physical prowess, the Training Command triumphed in the tournament, claiming the men's championship, while the Western Naval Command secured the women's title.

Representing all naval commands, 09 men’s and 06 women’s teams took part in the tournament. The finals of the tournament were graced by Commander North Central Naval Command, Rear Admiral Naleen Nawarathna. Midshipman DMSM Danapala (Best Attacker - Men), Able Physical Training Instructor SDSSP Sandanayaka (Best Player – Men) and Lieutenant Commander EH Angammana (Best Goalkeeper – Men) won awards for their exceptional performances.

In the same vein, Woman Physical Training Instructor SIH Silva (Best Attacker - Women) and (Best Player – Women) and Woman Able Physical Training Instructor WGLC Sepalika (Best Goalkeeper – Women) won trophies for their prominent performances.
