Navy men’s and women’s teams emerge victorious in the 18th National Wushu Championship

The 18th National Wushu Championship was held at the National Youth Center Maharagama from 10th to 13th March 2024. In a remarkable display of skill and determination, the Navy men’s and women’s teams emerged victorious in the Wushu Championship.

23 players competed in both the Taolu and Sanda events. Out of the 15 events, the Sri Lanka Navy was able to get 10 gold medals, 04 silver medals, and 02 bronze medals in Taolu optional and traditional events. Moreover, out of 11 weight classes, the Navy was able to get 06 gold medals and 05 bronze medals in Sanda.

Furthermore, displaying unparalleled agility, strength, and precision, the Navy Wushu athletes showcased their mastery and won the highest number of medals in the entire championship.
