Navy men’s team wins Eagle’s Cup Handball Challenge Trophy

The Navy men's handball team emerged victorious in the Eagle's Cup Handball Challenge Trophy held at the National Youth Center Indoor Stadium, Maharagama from 06th to 09th November 2023.

The competition, which featured top handball teams, witnessed intense matches and exceptional sportsmanship throughout. The teams of Army and Navy were through to the final in which the Navy men's handball team edged out the Army counterpart 33 – 32. Also, Navy’s Leading Seaman WACP Vijendra (Best Attacker), Able Seaman TS De Silva (Best Goalkeeper) and Leading Seaman KMRSS Bandara (Best Player) secured awards for their stellar performance.
