Inter-Command Tug of War Championship concludes

The Navy Inter-Command Tug of War Championship was successfully held at SLNS Pandukabhaya in Poonewa on 20th and 21st of October 2023. The men’s championship of the tournament was won by the Training Command, while the women’s championship was won by the Western Naval Command.

The tournament was competed by a number of athletes from various Naval Commands. In the men’s final the Training Command emerged victorious over the Northern Naval Command. Meanwhile, the Western Naval Command edged out the Northwestern Naval Command to clinch the title in women’s final.

The occasion was also attended by Deputy Area Commander North Central Naval Area, Commodore MDK Wijewardana, Chairman of the Navy tug of war pool, officers and sailors.
