Navy men’s team becomes runner-up in 12th Defence Services Cricket Championship

The 12th Defence Services Cricket Championship was held at the Sri Lanka Air Force Cricket Ground in Katunayake on 05th September 2023. In the final showdown, the Sri Lanka Navy secured the runner-up title in men’s cricket championship.

The final encounter of the tournament was played by the teams of Sri Lanka Army and Sri Lanka Navy. Batting first the Navy scored 86 runs all out. As their opponents chased down the target, the Navy managed to secure the runner-up title.

A group of senior officers and other ranks from the tri-services and were present on this occasion to witness the game.
