Navy men’s team secures runner-up position in 12th Defence Services Carrom Championship

The Sri Lanka Navy men’s team secured the runner-up position in the 12th Defence Services Carrom Championship, held at SLNS Gemunu on 29th and 30th August 2023.

The Navy players went head-to-head with the Army team in a thrilling face-off in men's singles with a close scoreline of 3-2. In the men's doubles category, the competition reached such a high level, resulting in an admirable outcome of joint winners.

Director General Civil Engineering, Rear Admiral Hiran Balasooriya was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Detector Sports, Commodore Roshan Athukorala, Chairman Sri Lanka Navy Carrom Pool, Captain Viraj Dangampala and a group of officers and other ranks from the tri-services were also present on this occasion.
