Sri Lanka Defence Services ruggerites shine in 1st Military Men’s Rugby 7 Challenge in Moscow, Russia

The Sri Lanka Defence Services ruggerites secured the 3rd place in the inaugural Military Men’s Rugby 7 Challenge held in Moscow, Russia from 22nd to 28th August 2023.

The 1st Military Men’s Rugby 7 Challenge saw participation from teams representing five countries. The Sri Lanka team, represented by four talented Navy players, emerged as one of the standout performers of the competition. The Navy’s Able Seaman AMDB Senavirathna showcased his formidable skills, employing strategic gameplay that allowed him to win the Best Player of the tournament. He scored 03 tries and showcased exceptional performance in the tournament.
