Navy dominates CR & FC in Nippon Women's 10-A-Side Rugby League – 2023

The women ruggerites of Sri Lanka Navy put on a dominant display of power and skill as they defeated CR & FC (34-0) in another encounter of the Nippon Women’s 10-A-Side Rugby League, worked off at the Race Course Ground, Colombo on 11th February 2023.

From the opening whistle, the Navy team set the pace with their strong attacking play and resolute defence, leaving the CR & FC team struggling to find a way through. For the Navy, Woman Leading Seaman AHS Madhumali scored 03 tries and made 02 successful conversions. Apart from that, Woman Leading Seaman NJK Dilrukshi, Woman Leading Seaman MDR Kumudumali and Woman Leading Seaman HLS Jayamali too scored a try each, to secure a comprehensive victory.

Meanwhile, the Navy women also beat their Air Force counterparts (55-0) on 27th January. With the latest victory the Navy recorded their second win in the Nippon Women's 10-A-Side Rugby League – 2023.
