Navy secures places in ‘RCYC Commodores Race – 2022’

The sailors of Sri Lanka Navy secured the 02nd and 03rd places in the ‘RCYC Commodores Race-2022’ organized by the Royal Colombo Yacht Club at the Bolgoda Lake on 29th October 2022.

The Laser Standard event was competed by sailors with 14 sailing boats, representing renowned sailing clubs in the island. The event was participated by 06 sailors from the Navy Sailing Pool, with 06 sailing boats.

On completion of the Laser Standard event, Fleet Chief Petty Officer, KN Dimal won the 02nd place and Leading Seaman WAS Weerathunga won the 03rd place, exhibiting their cleverness in sailing.
