Navy becomes runner up in men’s and women’s tug of war at 12th Defence Services Games

The Navy men’s and women’s teams became the runners up in tug of war at the 12^th Defence Services Games. The tug of war tournament was held at the Air Force grounds in Katunayake on 26^th and 28^th October 2022 and the final encounter was held between the men’s and women’s teams of the Army and Navy.

The 12^th Defence Services Games kicked off at the indoor stadium of Panagoda Army camp on 19^th October, under the patronage of the Defence Secretary and attendance of Chief of Defence Staff and tri service Commanders.

The Navy men’s and women’s teams were through to the finals beating the Air Force teams during tug of war encounters held on 26^th October.

Officers and other ranks from the tri-services were present on this occasion to witness the finals.
