The much-anticipated International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) Rifle Nationals Level III – 2025, organized by the National Rifle Association and initiated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, conducted as a spectacular four-day event from 06th to 08th Mar 25. Held at the Naval Firing Range in Poonewa, the tournament drew top-notch competitors and judges, both local and foreign, showcasing thrilling marksmanship. The prize awarding ceremony, held at Malima Naval Rest, Mihintale, was graced by Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), alongside the esteemed presence of the Tri-Service Commanders.

The Inter Command Hockey Championship of Sri Lanka Navy was held at the hockey ground of SLNS Lanka in Welisara from 04 to 07 Mar 25. The men's championship title in the tournament was clinched by the Western Naval Command, while the women's championship was won by the Training Command.

The Triathlon Championship of 13th Defence Services Games - 2025 was held on 06 Mar 25, near the Tissa Wewa in Anuradhapura. In the men's category, the Navy's Leading Diver JDPP Jayasinghe, secured the first place.

In a thrilling exhibition of stamina, Leading Seaman DAS Prasanga of the Sri Lanka Navy clinched victory in the first leg of the Guwan Hamuda Papedi Sawariya 2025, organized for the 26th time by Sri Lanka Air Force in view of its 74th anniversary. From 28 Feb to 02 Mar, the race unfolded across three legs. During the first leg, stretching from Weerawila to Ratnapura, Navy cyclist Prasanga emerged victorious, clinching a win for the Navy.

Showcasing her next-level skills at the 55th Senior National Carrom Championship – 2025, Woman Leading Seaman J Roshita of the Sri Lanka Navy emerged champion in women’s category. The tournament was held from 18 Jan to 02 Mar 25 at Carrom Federation, Colombo.

The National Sailing Championship 2025, held on 24 and 25 Feb 25 at the Crow Island, Mattakkuliya concluded with resounding success as the Navy Sailing Club emerged as the undisputed champions, securing victories across all classes.

The Inter-Command Badminton Championship - 2025 was held at the Commander Parakrama Samaraweera Memorial Indoor Sports Complex in Welisara from 10th to 15th February 2025. The Western Naval Command emerged victorious in the men's category, while the Training Command claimed the women's championship. The finals of the tournament were graced by Director General Budget and Finance, Rear Admiral Manjula Dissanayake.

The Navy women's A and B teams dominated the Sunquick National Beach Volleyball Championship, securing the championship and runner-up titles. The tournament was held at Browns Beach, Negombo, from 31 Jan to 02 Feb 25.

The Sri Lanka Navy sailing team made impressive performances at the Dr. Nihal Jinasena Memorial Cup Sailing Regatta which was held in the alluring waters of Kapparathota, Mirissa on 01 Feb 25.

The Sir Lanka Navy’s Ordinary Seaman Chalitha Pushpika clinched top 5 finish in the 38th Bangladesh Amateur Golf Championship, held from 09th to 12th January 2025 at the Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
