Sri Lanka Navy facilitated the repatriation of 23 Sri Lanka fishermen who had been released from the Indian custody. The fishermen along with 4 fishing trawlers were taken over from Indian Coast Guard Ship “Vishwast” at the Indo-Sri Lanka International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) North of Kankasanturai on 03rd September 2014.

Naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Command on information received recovered 16 kilograms of cannabis (Kerala Ganja) concealed of the shrubs in the Mathagal area in Jaffna on 02nd September 2014.
