Navy rescues a person from perilous floodwaters in Paragoda

Amidst heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions, the Navy continues its efforts to provide relief to those affected by flooding in the Paragoda area of Kalutara district. This evening (19th August 2024), in the Paragoda area, the Navy successfully rescued a person who was caught in floodwaters and in imminent danger of drowning.

After receiving information that a person was in danger after his boat overturned in the floodwaters of Paragoda, a Navy relief team swiftly responded and rescued the individual who was at the risk of drowning.
