Navy nabs 03 persons with over 24kg of venison in Panama

The Navy apprehended 03 suspects with over 24kg of venison, during a patrol conducted in Shasthraweli, Panama on 25th July 2023.

During a naval patrol conducted in the Shasthraweli area, SLNS Mahanaga in the Southeastern Naval Command searched these 03 persons for their suspicious behaviour. During this search, naval personnel found about 24kg and 300g of venison in their possession and took them into naval custody.

The suspects were identified as residents of Panama area, from 34 to 42 years of age. The accused together with venison were handed over to the office of the Department of Wildlife Conservation – Panama for onward investigation.
