Navy recovers the dead body of a drowned person

Navy carried out a diving operation in search of a person who had drowned and gone missing in Victoria reservoir, on 22^nd July 2020 and recovered the dead body of the missing person.

Responding to a request of Theldeniya Police seeking the assistance of the Navy to find the dead body of a 20 year old youth who had gone missing by drowning at Ambakote temple road area in Victoria reservoir, Sri Lanka Navy dispatched a team of navy divers attached to the Western Naval Command, to the location.

Accordingly, after a strenuous task navy diving team was able to recover the dead body of the person and it was handed over to Theldeniya Police for further investigation.
