Navy disinfects Inter-Provincial Main Passenger Bus Terminal, Colombo Fort
In an attempt to arrest the spread of coronavirus among the public, Sri Lanka Navy today (07th October 2020) carried out a disinfection programme at the Provincial Main Passenger Bus Terminal, Colombo Fort which is frequented by a large number of commuters on daily basis.

Mobile service organized by Ranaviru Seva Authority to facilitate war hero families concluded on successful note in Anuradhapura
The Ranaviru Seva Authority organized a mobile service for the wellbeing of families of deceased, differently abled, missing and retired war heroes of Tri-Services, Police and Civil Security Department. This timely initiative got underway at the Regimental Centre of Gajaba Regiment in Saliyapura on 03rd October 2020 from 0800hrs to 1700hrs, under the precedence of Secretary Defence, Major General (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne, Tri-Service Commanders and Acting Inspector General of Police.

Navy seizes over 902kg of smuggled dried turmeric in Mannar
The Navy nabbed 02 suspects with a stock of over 902kg of dried turmeric, while being smuggled by sea. The apprehension was made at the Thalvupadu Beach in Mannar, during a special search conducted by the Navy on 02nd October 2020.

Ranaviru Seva Authority launches mobile service for the benefit of war hero families
The Ranaviru Seva Authority has made arrangements to launch a mobile service for the welfare of the families of war heroes from tri-services, Police and Civil Security Department, whom were killed, disabled, went missing in action as well as those who have been retired from service. Accordingly, this initiative is set to get off the ground on 03rd October 2020, from 0800hrs to 1700hrs at the Gajaba Regimental HQ Saliyapura, under the precedence of Secretary Defence, Major General (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne, tri-service commanders and acting Inspector General of Police.

Excerpt to media briefing on 09 Sep 2020 at 1500 hrs status quo of MT New Diamond
Disaster relief teams today (09th September 2020) successfully doused the fire on board MT New Diamond crude oil tanker. Three (03) member team from salvor boarded the fire-damaged ship for the first time today and carried out a preliminary investigations. Meanwhile, a team of experts from the Sri Lanka Navy and the Indian Coast Guard is scheduled to board the distressed ship to make an assessment for onward action. The team would deliver updates about the existing damages and safety condition of the ship in the time to come.
