Fifth (05th) round of SLN - PN Staff Talks conclude on successful note

The fifth (05th) round of Navy to Navy Expert Level Staff Talks between Sri Lanka Navy and Pakistan Navy concluded on a successful note on 24th May 2023 at the Navy Headquarters, Colombo.

Ahead of the commencement of Staff Talks, the Head of Pakistan Navy delegation Commodore Ahmed Hussain called on the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy, Rear Admiral Jayantha Kularatne and Deputy Chief of Staff and Director General Operations, Rear Admiral Pradeep Rathnayake. During these discussions, they exchanged views on several matters of general concern and the cordial discussions culminated with exchange of mementoes.

The high-level delegation from the Pakistan Navy was led by Commodore Ahmed Hussain. Meanwhile, Director Naval Weapon, Commodore Harsha De Silva headed the Sri Lanka Navy delegation.

During the dialogue, both sides deliberated on a wide range of areas of naval cooperation including enhancement of bilateral relations, hydrographic services, capacity building, training, joint exercises, professional and training exchange, highlighting the strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
