182kg of Kerala cannabis seized during successful naval operations in past 72 hours

The Navy managed to seize 182kg and 456g of Kerala cannabis during successful operations conducted across the country in the past 72 hours.

During the past 72 hours commencing from the noon of 21^st January to the noon of 24^th January, the Navy managed to seize 182kg and 456g of Kerala cannabis, through operations conducted across the country. This was the very first instance that the naval operations met with much success, in recent times. Accordingly, the Navy was able to seize 176kg of Kerala cannabis in Palaviya, 460g in Kalpitiya, 02kg in Kinniya, 1kg and 055g in Marwila, 1kg and 500g in Vettalakeni and 1kg and 450g in Wellampitiya, taking the tally to 182kg and 456g.

Even if the drug traffickers are constantly on an attempt to smuggle Kerala cannabis into the country, the Navy has been able to thwart all such attempts, due to it continuous operations. Meanwhile, the Navy has been able to seize a staggering amount (03 tons) of Kerala cannabis during naval operations in year 2019. As such the Navy will remain vigilant to foil this kind of illegal activities performed by handful of lawbreakers.
