Navy continues flood relief operations, assisting 882 in Central, Western, Sabaragamuwa and Northwestern Provinces

The Sri Lanka Navy is continuously providing relief to the public affected by recent flooding and adverse weather. These ongoing operations, carried out by the Western Naval Command on 29 Nov 25, have so far delivered essential aid to 882 individuals. The relief efforts cover a wide area across Kandy, Gannoruwa, Gampola, Katugasthota, Chilaw, Rathnapura, Kolonnawa, Meegoda, Thalduwa Awissawella, Weliwita, Divulapitiya, Badalgama, Mahawewa, Giriulla, Kegalle, Ruwanwella, Ayagama, Kalawana, Marapana and Mirigama in the Central, Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Northwestern provinces.

The Navy continued its relief operations in the Anuradhapura and Vavuniya districts on 29 Nov 25, aiding 380 people affected by floods. Accordingly, the North Central Naval Command provided essential supplies and assistance to residents in Ipalogama, Padavi Parakramapura, Senapura, Medawachchiya, Settikulam, Galnewa, Thambuttegama, and Vavuniya's Omanthai area.

Navy provides relief to 1,310 flood victims in Trincomalee, Polonnaruwa and Batticaloa

In response to inclement weather, the Sri Lanka Navy has mobilized relief teams to high-risk areas across the island. 29 Nov 25, the Eastern Naval Command conducted relief operations in the Mallapachchenai of Kinniya, Kantale, Muthur Safi Nagar, Kala Oya, Gomarankadawala, Ral Palama, Gallella and Bogamuwa of Aluthgama in the Trincomalee, Polonnaruwa and Batticaloa districts. The efforts resulted in the rescue of 69 people from immediate danger and the safe relocation of 1,241 individuals, bringing the total number of people aided to 1,310.
