Two suspects held with 1200 Pregabalin capsules

A search operation conducted by the Navy and Division Crime Investigation Bureau, Mannar led to the arrest of 02 suspects (male and female) with 1200 Pregabalin capsules which had been made ready to sell. The coordinated operation was mounted in Nanattan area of Silawathura on 07th February 2024.

During this operation, SLNS Therapuththa in the Northwestern Naval Command and Division Crime Investigation Bureau, Mannar searched 02 individuals on suspicion in Nanattan area. The search led to the recovery of 1200 Pregabalin capsules which had been made ready to sell, in the possession of those suspects. Accordingly, the 02 suspects and prescription drugs were taken into custody.

The male and female suspects held in this operation were identified as residents of Nanattan, aged 23 and 45. The accused, along with Pregabalin capsules, were handed over to the Silawathura Police for onward legal action.
