A coordinated search operation conducted by the Navy and Food and Drugs Inspector Unit in Anuradhapura on 14th August 2023 led to the apprehension of a suspect with 11377 capsules of Pregabalin 150mg. The prescription drug had been available for sale by illegal means at a pharmacy in front of the Divisional Hospital Medawachchiya, when the apprehension was made.
