Navy’s essayists and orators recognized at Public Speaking and Admiral Clancy Fernando Memorial Essay Competitions
The Sri Lanka Navy recognized the achievements of its personnel in the Navy Public Speaking Competition 2025 and the Admiral Clancy Fernando Memorial Essay Competition 2025 at a special event held on 20 Nov 25 at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium, Navy Headquarters. The event was graced by the Director General Health Services, Rear Admiral Janaka Marambe and Mrs. Monika Fernando, the spouse of the late Admiral Clancy Fernando.

Trio of Indian Naval Ships depart island after replenishment
Three (03) Landing Craft Utility (LCU) ships from the Indian Navy, which arrived in Colombo for replenishment purpose, departed the island on 25 Nov 25. The Sri Lanka Navy bade a customary farewell to the departing ship at the Port of Colombo, following naval traditions.

Invoking blessings on the 75th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Navy, celebrated on 09 December, a Joint Christian Commemoration & Thanksgiving Service, organized by the Navy Christian Council, was held at St. Lucia's Cathedral, Kotahena on 21 Nov 25. The event was presided over by the Deputy Chief of Staff and Director General Logistics of the Navy, Rear Admiral Ruwan Kalubowila.

(Dr.) Harini Amarasuriya at the Cenotaph War Memorial of the Viharamahadevi Park, Colombo. The solemn occasion was also attended by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda.
