With an impressive performance, Sri Lanka Navy were able to clinch the overall national wushu championship.

In view of the Sri Lanka Navy’s 64th anniversary, religious ceremonies were held at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy on 08th and 09th December 2014 with the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera, Mrs. Shalika Perera, the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy Rear Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, senior naval officers, sailors and their family members in attendance.

The Indian Naval Ship "Sukanya" arrived at the Port of Colombo for logistic support on 09th December 2014.

Navy Sports Club beat Sri Lanka Air Force Sports Club 40 – 22 in their Dialog Inter-club 'A' division league rugby match, which was worked off at the Rathmalana Air Force Rugby Grounds on 07th December 2014.

An Islamic religious ceremony was held in view of the Sri Lanka Navy’s 64th Anniversary at the Jumma Masjid Mosque at Chatham Street, Fort on 05th December 2014.

A special Hindu religious ceremony was conducted at Sri Ponnambalavaneshwaran Hindu Temple at Kotahena on 04th December 2014 in view of the 64th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Navy.

A number of foreign naval delegates attending the “Galle Dialogue 2014” called on the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera at the Lighthouse Hotel in Galle where the international maritime conference is being held.

The international maritime conference, “Galle Dialogue 2014”, organized by the Sri Lanka Navy under the aegis of the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development, concluded on 02nd December 2014 pledging support for cooperation and collaboration to achieve maritime prosperity.
