Sri Lanka Navy facilitated the conduct of the annual festival of the St. Anthony’s Church located on the Palaithivu Island.

At the invitation of the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Shalika Perera, the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera, laid the foundation stone for the sailors’ holiday bungalow at the Welisara Naval Complex on 09th March 2015 amidst the blessings of the Maha Sangha.

In view of the Worlds Women s Day, under the patronage of its President Mrs. Shalika Perera a special function was organized at the Naval Headquarters on 06th March 2015

Pakistan Naval Frigate “Zulfiquar” arrived at the Port of Trincomalee on a goodwill visit on 03rd March 2015 for 3 days. It is 123 meters in length and has got a complement of 303 personnel.

Under the able guidance of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera, the Navy's Directorate of Maritime Cooperation succeeded in securing an avenue for the SLN's Executive Branch officers to obtain the Certificate of Competency (COC) for “Navigation Watchkeeping in Near Coastal Voyages (NCV)” category as a result of fruitful discussions held with the Director General of Merchant Shipping.
