The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of the Pakistan Army General Raheel Sharif, NI (M) paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera at the Naval Headquarters in Colombo on 06th June 2015.

The Navy offered mid-day alms to the devotees who had observed sil at Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura on Poson full moon poya day, 02nd June 2015.

The Navy in collaboration with the Ministry of Health has extended its assistance to the National Dengue Control Programme conducted under the guidance of the National Dengue Control Unit.

Considering the possible risks of drowning in lakes during the Poson season, the Sri Lanka Navy has deployed 20 boats at selected lakes round the clock for 7 days with effect from 31st May 2015.

Sri Lanka Navy’s Offshore Patrol Vessel, SLNS Sayura, returned on 27th May 2015 having attended the International Maritime Defence Exhibition (IMDEX Asia 2015), hailed as Asia Pacific's flagship maritime defence show, which was held in Singapore from 19th to 21st May 2015.
