Fulfilling a long-left need, the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne declared open the Sri Lanka Navy’s School of Nursing at the Welisara Naval Hospital Complex on 13th November 2015.

The Sri Lanka Navy granted one million rupees as death compensation to the wife of the late Chief Petty Officer KST Perera, who had died of a cancer.
