Naval personnel attached to SLNS Vidura located in Sampoor in the Eastern Naval Command arrested twenty-three local fishermen engaged in illegal fishing using unauthorized nets in the seas off Sampoor yesterday (12).

Sri Lanka Navy assisted the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to arrest six Indian fishermen, along with an Indian fishing trawler, poaching in Sri Lankan waters North of Talaimannar today (09).
