Naval personnel apprehended 14 local fishermen engaged in illegal fishing at two separate locations yesterday (5).

Naval personnel attached to SLN Dockyard located in Trincomalee belonging to the Eastern Naval Command arrested 23 local fishermen who engaged in illegal fishing practices using monofilament nets in the seas off Sampoor Island today (5).
