Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera, Commander of the Navy, graced the second session of the General Convocation 2024 of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) as the Chief Guest. The event took place today (14th October 2024) at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall. This year's convocation, held on 14th and 15th October, will award degrees to 1,732 graduates from various faculties and affiliated military institutions.

Rear Admiral Nishantha Peiris has been appointed as the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy effective from 11th October 2024.
