The Navy apprehended 04 persons for engaging in light course fishing in the sea area of Hikkaduwa, during a search operation conducted with the Fisheries Inspecting Officials of Galle on 07^th February 2020.

An array of programmes organized to promote camaraderie between the crew of Indian Navy Ship (INS) ‘Jamuna’ and Sri Lanka Navy, took place on 07^th February 2020. The INS ‘Jamuna’ arrived in Sri Lanka to undertake a hydrographic survey.

The Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Mujhid Anwar Khan, who is on an official visit to Sri Lanka, called on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva at the Naval Headquarters today (07^th February 2020).

In compliance with the 72^nd Independence Day a week-long general amnesty has been declared for tri-forces absentees. Accordingly, the naval personnel who were absent from naval service without following proper procedures to receive a discharge or to rejoin and continue their national service to the country.
