To combat the spread of the new coronavirus in the country, the Navy conducted several sterilization programmes in a few places at Karaitivu and the Department of Pensions in Colombo on 06^th and 07^th April 2020.

A Srilankan who was employed onboard the international cruise ship MSC Magnifica had requested through social medias to help him for disembarkation at Colombo and accordingly SL Navy brought this person safely to the Colombo port

Another group who had completed quarantine period in the quarantine centre established by Navy at Boosa Naval Base, left the center after successful completion of their quarantine process, today (06^th April 2020).
