During a patrol conducted from Norochcholai to Karmba in Daluwa on 14^th April 2020, the Navy raided an illicit arrack den and apprehended 02 persons engaged in distillation of illicit alcohol.

The Navy apprehended 17 persons for illegal harvesting of sea cucumber and using unauthorized nets to catch fish. The apprehension was made during a patrol in the sea area west of Padaithurai, Mannar on 14^th April 2020.

The Navy managed to apprehend 06 persons who were engaging in illegal fishing in the sea area of Salpeyaru on 13^th April 2020.

The Navy held a male (01) and a female (01) in possession of about 06g and 450mg of heroin, during a search conducted in Alankuda area, Puttalam on 13^th April 2020.

In view of the dawn of Sinhala and Tamil New Year, the New Year at the Naval Quarantine Centre in Boossa on 13^th April 2020, organized a milk boiling ceremony and musical evening

After having identified another 32 persons who were potentially exposed to the 28 individuals previously taken into naval custody in Suduwella area, the Navy sent them to the Naval Quarantine Center in Nachchikuda, Mannar on 13^th April 2020. The new group of people were found from Ja-Ela, Mattakkuliya and Ragama areas.

Sri Lanka Navy apprehended 07 persons in possession of moonshine, during a patrol conducted from Tangalle to Beliatta and at a roadblock in Gintota on 12^th April 2020.

During a patrol conducted in Batticaloa lagoon today (13^th April 2020), the Navy managed to seize 07 unauthorized nets cast to catch fish.

Nine (09) more individuals who completed their quarantine period at the quarantine centre established at Boossa Naval Base, left for their homes today (13^th April 2020).

Due to the prevailing situation in the country, the Navy has taken steps to strengthen the patrols in waters belonging to the island.
