In assistance to the Navy’s effort to control the spread of coronavirus in the country, another stock of inhaler devices invented by Surgeon Charith Nanayakkara, a lecturer in General Sir John Kothalawala Defence University, were donated to the Navy at the Naval Headquarters, today (01^st May 2020).

With the confirmation of other four (04) inmates at Naval Quarantine Centre in Oluvil were tested positive for COVID-19, the Navy promptly rushed them for treatment on 30^th April 2020.

A stock of healthcare outfits required to be worn in the campaigns carried out by the Navy to control the coronavirus in the country, was donated to the Navy by LOLC Holdings, through the “Manusath Derana” programme, at Naval Headquarters, today (30^th April 2020).

A stock of face shields which could be used in the programmes conducted by the Navy for controlling the spread of coronavirus, was handed over to the Navy, today (30^th April 2020).

Another 07 inmates who had completed quarantine period in the quarantine centre established by Navy at Boosa Naval Base, left the center after completion of their quarantine process, on 29^th April 2020.

Another 05 inmates who had completed quarantine period in the quarantine centre established by Navy at Boosa Naval Base, left the center after completion of their quarantine process, today (27^th April 2020).

With identifying COVID-19 infected naval personnel in the Naval Complex-Welisara, measures were followed to keep it as an isolation area and now steps are being taken by Navy to identify the infected personnel and to sterilize the Naval Complex premises.
