The Women to Women Organization joining hands with Manusath Derana handed over a stock of mattresses, pillows and bed linen to the Navy at the Naval Headquarters on06^th May 2020. These items are expected to be used in programmes which are undertaken by the Navy in view of arresting the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

Extending their supportive hand to the programmes conducted by the Navy for controlling the spread of coronavirus, ‘Dalwu Pahan’ Social Welfare Organization donated a stock of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Navy, on 06^th May 2020.

In assistance to the Navy’s effort to control the spread of coronavirus in the country and responding to a request of former Commander of the Navy, Admiral of the Fleet Wasantha Karannagoda, Morison PLC donated a stock of medicines to the Navy at the Naval Headquarters, on 06^th May 2020.

The institutes of Good Neighbors Sri Lanka and Ceylon Kisses made a wide range of donations to the Sri Lanka Navy, in support of its efforts to control the spread of new coronavirus in the country. As such, the donation of face masks, hand gloves, sanitizing liquids, protective clothing as well as 50,000 tea bags took place at the Western Naval Command Headquarters on 05^th and 06^th May 2020.

As a contribution in the Navy’s campaigns to control the spread of coronavirus in the country hospital beds were donated to the SL Navy by Nilkamal Eswaran Plastics (Pvt) Ltd., at the Naval Headquarters, on 06^th May 2020.

During a patrol conducted in Batticaloa lagoon on 06^th May 2020, the Navy managed to find 02 unauthorized nets being cast at Kotuwamada area.

Another two COVID-19 affected naval persons who was confirmed positive to coronavirus at Anuradhapura and Agalawatta hospitals on 26^th April 2020 and admitted for treatment to IDH hospital, with their full recovery from COVID-19, were discharged from the hospital on 05^th May 2020.

A person who was transferring cannabis by a three wheeler, was apprehend during a operation carried out by Navy in coordination with Police STF, in Thanamalwila town on 05^th May 2020.

SL Navy apprehended two (02) persons who attempted in illegal fishing with unauthorized nets, during a search operation carried out at Mulankavil area in Mannar on 05^th May 2020.

Navy held 3 persons who were transporting sand without permits by 03 trucks, at the road block conducted by Navy near Gangei bridge, Kinniya on 05^th May 2020.
