In continuation of its commitment to community, the Sri Lanka Navy undertook a clean-up programme at Thammanna Velusumana Maha Vidyalaya, Seeppukulama on 03 Mar 25. The programme was conducted as part of the nationwide initiative to renovate schools under the “Clean Sri Lanka” project.

The Indian Naval Ship (INS) Kuthar arrived at the Port of Colombo on an official visit this morning (03 Mar 25). The visiting ship was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in compliance with naval traditions.

Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF) ASAHI which arrived in Sri Lanka on 01 Mar 25 for replenishment, departed the island today (03 Mar). The Sri Lanka Navy bade customary farewell to the departing ship at the Port of Colombo, following naval traditions.

The annual feast of St. Antony's Shrine on the Kachchativu Island in the Jaffna Peninsula is set to take place on 14 and 15 Mar 25 on a high note. In the backdrop where the District Secretary of Jaffna has made necessary arrangements for the event, the Sri Lanka Navy is currently working in full swing to establish infrastructure and facilities for the convenience of devotees.

In a significant step towards ensuring access to clean drinking water, a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant was declared open at Junior School, Veherayaya in Wellawaya on 28 Feb 25. This initiative, spearheaded by the Sri Lanka Navy's Research and Development Unit, is part of the Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) Project, which continues to make a positive impact.
