Sri Lanka Navy drives infrastructure development for annual Kachchativu feast
The annual feast of St. Antony's Shrine on the Kachchativu Island in the Jaffna Peninsula is set to take place on 27 and 28 Feb 26 on a high note. Naval artillery resounds in tribute on Independence Day
The 78th National Independence Day of Sri Lanka, themed around “Let's Build Sri Lanka” was marked today (04 Feb 26). On the sidelines of the main ceremony, the Sri Lanka Navy honoured the nation, according a 25-Gun Salute onboard Sri Lanka Navy Ship (SLNS) Sayura at 12.00 noon. The ceremonial tradition was executed at the directives of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda and under the coordination of the Commanding Officer of the ship, Captain Conrad Annathugoda.

Sri Lanka Navy marches in pride at national celebration of 78th Independence Day
The 78th National Independence Day ceremony of Sri Lanka was held at the Independence Square, Colombo this morning (04 Feb 26). The main ceremony went by the theme “Let's Build Sri Lanka”, was held under the patronage of the President and Commander – in – Chief of the Armed Forces, Hon. Anura Kumara Dissanayake. Filled with great pride, the Sri Lanka Navy added glamour to the elegant national spectacle held in a dignified sequence.

Navy’s 1148th RO plant declared open to ensure access for safe and healthy drinking water
In continuation of its commitment towards enhancing public health and community welfare, a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant (01), set up by the Sri Lanka Navy, was declared open for community use on 29 Jan 26 in the village of Aralaganwila in Dimbulagala, Polonnaruwa.
