Commander of the Navy shares maritime insights with National Defence College Course No. 04
The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, shared maritime insights with the officers of Course No. 04 at the National Defence College (NDC) on 03 Nov 25. The Navy Chief was invited by the Commandant of the NDC, Major General Chamila Munasinghe, to conduct a guest lecture as part of the college's esteemed curriculum.

Poppy flower pinned on Commander of the Navy commemoration of Remembrance Day 2025
The President of the Sri Lanka Armed Forces Veterans’ Association Poppy Committee, Major General Mahinda Mudalige (Retd), pinned a poppy on Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda at Navy Headquarters on 04 Nov 25. This solemn act was conducted in commemoration of Remembrance Day 2025, honouring the service and sacrifice of fallen military personnel.

JMSDF ship AKEBONO departs island concluding her visit
The Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF) ship AKEBONO which arrived in Sri Lanka on a goodwill visit, departed the island today (31 Oct 25). The Sri Lanka Navy bade a customary farewell to the departing ship at the Port of Colombo, following naval traditions.
