A blood donation campaign held in Eastern Naval Command

A blood donation campaign organized by the Eastern Naval Command was held at the Naval Dockyard, Trincomalee on 30th April 2022. The blood donation campaign, conducted as part of another social responsibility initiative of the Sri Lanka Navy, was carried out with voluntary participation of naval personnel in the Eastern Naval Command.

Thirty-two (32) RABS personnel awarded insignia on completion of training

Four (04) officers and twenty-eight (28) sailors who successfully completed the Rapid Action Boat Squadron (RABS) Qualifying Course-26, were awarded insignia at the parade ground of RABS Headquarters in Gagewadiya, Puttalam on 09th April 2022. Director General Operations, Rear Admiral Prasanna Mahawithana graced the event as the Chief Guest.

Navy’s Gayanthika Abeyrathna sets new national record

Sri Lanka Navy Women Petty Officer, Gayanthika Abeyrathna set a new national record in women's 800m today (09th April 2022). Asian Gold Medalist shattered the previous record of the event, during the Centenary National Athletics Championship - 2022 held at Diyagama Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium.
