Naval logisticians step into the spotlight at certificate awarding of Long Logistics Management Course No. 10
The Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium at the Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA) in Trincomalee set a grand stage on 23 May 26, for the certificate awarding ceremony of the Long Logistics Management Course (LLMC) No. 10. The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, at the invitation of the Commandant NMA, Commodore Dinesh Bandara.
The event saw top achievers recognised for outstanding academic and professional excellence, with certificates, awarded by the Navy Commander. Among the achievers, Lieutenant Commander CS Serasinghe received accolades for achieving the Highest Aggregate in Naval Logistics Subjects and for being recognised as the most Inspirational Officer of the Course. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Commander GUYR Jayawardena was recognised for securing the Highest Aggregate in Academic Subjects.
Addressing the gathering, the Navy Chief congratulated officers who successfully completed the LLMC No. 10 and said that the future roles of these officers would directly influence organisational effectiveness. He stated that they would serve as the backbone of operational readiness, and expected proactive, responsible, and credible actions from them. He noted that the armed forces must remain strong, responsive and efficient with reliable and transparent logistics systems. The Navy Chief also recognised the Commandant NMA, the directing staff, and external resource personnel for their contributions to the course.
