Naval personnel contribute to public space restoration across Northern Province

In commemoration of the nation’s 78th Independence Day, the Sri Lanka Navy demonstrated its commitment to environmental stewardship and community partnership through beautification and restoration efforts across the Northern Province on 04 Feb 26.

As a leading partner of the Presidential Task Force for the 'Clean Sri Lanka' national project, the Navy often throws its weight behind endeavours of this nature, with personnel and resources.

Accordingly, under the organization of the Northern Naval Command, SLNS Uththara ensured cleanliness of the Keerimalai Bus Stand and the surrounding Ponnalei Pond area. Simultaneously, SLNS Elara led a coastal clean-up effort at Casurina Beach, while SLNS Wasabha supported the upkeep of the Delft Regional Hospital premises.
