Navy heeds call and assists medical clinics for people affected by Cyclone ‘Ditwah’

In a coordinated humanitarian assistance effort, Sri Lanka Navy medical personnel provided essential support to a multi-service health camp on 20 Dec 25. The camp was organized for people affected by Cyclone ‘Ditwah’ and currently residing at Kaleiwana Vidyalaya in the Doluwa Divisional Secretariat.

Acting upon a request from the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ Secretariat and under the direction of the Ministry of Defence, Navy medical teams deployed to assist several key medical services. Their assistance supported a medical clinic operated by the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine of the University of Colombo, a medical clinic run by the Sri Lankan Lady Doctor’s Sisterhood Group and a specialized counseling clinic.

The medical camp benefited from the integrated contributions of medical personnel from the Sri Lanka Navy, Army and Air Force, working together to deliver comprehensive care to those in need.
