New wave of prospective sailors joins the Navy as 264th Recruit Intake

The Sri Lanka Navy strengthened its rates with the attachment of 286 newly enlisted Recruits of the 264th intake, for training, on 17 and 18 Dec 25. The formal event was graced by the presence of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, at the Admiral Somathilaka Dissanayake Auditorium, Naval Detachment Colombo.

This new intake represents a wide spectrum of naval trades, which include Seaman, Naval Infantry, Provost and Regulating, Communicator, Physical Training, Engineering Mechanic, Transport, Electrical and Electronic, Stores, Writer, Chef, Steward, Medical, Dental, Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Automotive, Band and Volunteer.
