Commander of the Navy shares maritime insights with National Defence College Course No. 04
The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, shared maritime insights with the officers of Course No. 04 at the National Defence College (NDC) on 03 Nov 25. The Navy Chief was invited by the Commandant of the NDC, Major General Chamila Munasinghe, to conduct a guest lecture as part of the college's esteemed curriculum.
Addressing an audience of senior officers from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Police, Vice Admiral Banagoda delivered an insightful presentation on the 'Role of the Sri Lanka Navy in National Security.' His lecture provided a comprehensive analysis of the evolving geopolitical landscape and its direct impact on the maritime security and role of the Sri Lanka Navy.
In a significant highlight of the event, the name of Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda was formally inducted into the NDC's prestigious ‘Hall of Fame’, recognizing the distinguished alumni of the National Defence Course who has ascended to the highest echelons of naval leadership.
The occasion was further signified by the exchange of mementoes between the Commander of the Navy and Commandant NDC, symbolizing the strong professional bonds between the two organizations.
