Naval engineering brilliance afloat - TECHNO 2025

TECHNO 2025, the premier engineering and technology exhibition organized by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), was held from 10 to 12 Oct 25 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo. The Sri Lanka Navy marked a strong presence at the event, demonstrating its engineering innovations and technical expertise.

Under the College of Military Engineering and Technology Sri Lanka (CMETSL), the exhibition brought together the technological strength of the tri-services. The Navy’s exhibit featured an impressive array of innovations, including 07 mechanical, 08 civil, and 07 electrical and electronic engineering projects representing all naval commands.

Innovative displays by the Naval Boat Building Yard (NBBY), the Naval Institute of Technology (NIT) and the Directorate of Naval Design (DND) further underscored the Navy’s prowess in design, manufacturing and the advancement of new technologies.

The Navy’s participation in TECHNO 2025 provided a valuable platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange between defence and civil engineering professionals. It also reaffirmed the Navy’s unwavering commitment to innovation, professional growth and engineering excellence while contributing to the nation’s technological and industrial development.
